Commissions
To commission a portrait, of a dog, horse, cat…. you will need to send me a good photographic likeness, or if necessary I can take the photographs myself. There maybe some extra charge, depending on distance. A commission will usually take 3-5 days to complete. Do give me notice if you would like it for a special date.

Tip for Taking Photos
- Photograph outdoors if possible, in good light conditions, without flash. If you can’t get outside, try to position the subject near a window for as much natural daylight as possible, but not in direct sunlight.
- Get down to their eye level because a good view of the eyes is really important. Lie on the ground if necessary.
- Ensure that the area you want painted almost fills the viewfinder or the mobile screen and is in focus. If you are using a mobile phone to take your photos, try experimenting with the different settings i.e. portrait as well as normal photo
- Don’t worry about the background as that will be edited out (unless you want it specifically)
- Enlist the help of someone (plus toys or treats) to position the animal’s head where you want it and get a lively expression.
- Watch that tongue (especially if you don’t want it painted), so best take when they are not panting.
